About CSI Certification

CSI professional credentials are available to members & non-members as evidence of proven knowledge, education, and experience with construction documents. Holding a certification demonstrates professional commitment in Hawaii, credibility & reliability to employers, colleagues, and clients.

Our local chapter of CSI is committed to helping individuals in Hawaii achieve certification in the foundational courses that lead to advanced certification by holding local preparation classes in Hawaii. This year the chapter is honored to have the University of Hawaii Shidler School of Business Executive MBA program host the classes on the UH campus to provide a comfortable venue for networking, learning, and fun!

Hawaii Exam Preparation Class Offerings:

CDT Certification – Each Saturday from January 27th to March 24th from 8:00am to 10:15am.
CCCA Certification – Each Saturday from January 27th to March 24th from 10:30am to 12:30pm.

Fees for Hawaii Preparation Class & National Exam (March 31st, 2007):

Hawaii Class – CSI member = $95.00
Hawaii Class – Non-members = $150.00
Hawaii Class – Students – $50.00
2007 National Exam Registration – student (CSI memberor non-CSI member) = $90
2007 National CDT Exam – Non-student, CSI Member = $245
2007 National CDT Exam – Non-student, Non-CSI Member = $380
2007 National CCS, CCCA, CCPR Exam – CSI Member = $310
2007 National CCS, CCCA, CCPR Exam – Non-CSI Member = $445

Important Deadlines:

Hawaii Class Registration Deadline: January 15th, 2007.  RSVP by turning in the RSVP form to reserve a seat. Plan to make payment later!
National Exams Deadline: January 31st, 2007

1) Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) – This is the foundation course to advance.

2) Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) – Demonstrates knowledge of the methods of contractor selection as related to numbers of contracts, various contract types, and differences in relationships among parties.

3) Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA)
– Recommended for professionals with responsibility for executing contract documents.
