I just wanted to thank everyone who participated in our Christmas Drive Through. After what has seemed like a very long time, it was so good to see everyone in person! Probably the best part of the day. Jazzy Jay got us in the mood! Thanks to Jess and Lauren for all the decorations and preparations.
While we did not block traffic on Puuhale Road with a lineup of cars (instead the most excitement on the road was a couple homeless individuals being chased by HPD), we still managed to collect 4 boxes of food and canned goods, and when you add up all the cash and check donations, we collected a total of $1,950 for the Hawaii Food Bank today alone!
We are still expecting a check or two yet in the mail, so that number may still increase.
When you add in the contribution from PBX, we will be delivering approximately $4,000 in cash plus 110 lbs of food donations to the Hawaii Food Bank this Friday.
Looking back on the past 9 months I am grateful that our Chapter has not missed a beat. We have provided quality education to our membership all year long, while other non-profits have practically shut down waiting on the virus to be over, or floundered trying to figure out what to do next. We pulled off a virtual conference using the talent from our previous Expo Committee, and we are well on the way to return back to the Convention Center next October with a date already set. We have a lot to be proud of, and I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for your time, talent, and dedication to CSI Honolulu Chapter.
Have a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and looking forward to the New Year!
